A recent report says Germany’s Defence Minister Boris Pistorius is not considering sending Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. Despite repeated requests, Germany refuses. Reuters confirms this in their June 12, 2025 article. Reuters
At first glance that might look like a disappointment. But I believe God is answering in this “no” just as much as He does in a “yes.” Because we also prayed—for justice, for wisdom, for peace, for protection of lives. And this decision shows boundaries. It shows responsibility. It shows discernment among leaders.
Germany has committed 7 billion euros this year already in military support for Ukraine. Another 1.9 billion euros is still under parliamentary approval. Reuters Even though Germany won’t send Taurus missiles, those numbers tell us God is moving resources, He is stirring consciences, He is pushing governments toward integrity more than rash decisions.
For WGNA this teaches us something important: Answers to prayer may not always look like what we ask. They may look like restraint, like protection, like delay. Sometimes “not now” or “no” preserves far more than a forced “yes.”
Let this strengthen us. Let us continue praying with open hands and trusting hearts. Let us believe God is at work, behind every “no” that protects, every decision filtered through wisdom, every moment when prayer restrains havoc rather than unleashes it.
